The BIG FIVE:

#1 Dumpling plate at the Darmstädter Hütte

the Darmstädter-Hütte is looming high above the Moostal. The view of the surrounding mountains is gigantic. The dumplings are fabulous and the descent makes every biker’s heart beat faster. The tour to the hut is quite long but with the new ebikes it´s no problem 🙂 Riding fun in a class of its own

BIG#2    Jump into the mountain lake

Actually a little secret; the Maiensee (a moor lake) is one of the most beautiful high mountain lakes in the Tyrolean Alps. A jump into the cool water is a varied refreshment after every mountain tour. Then let yourself dry on the mountain meadows and count the clouds until you fall asleep.

BIG#3 Kaiserschmarren on the Rendlalm

Can be reached quickly and easily on foot or by bike. The real secret is the panoramic view of the Galzig and over the Arlberg. Funny, and with Tyrolean charm, the hosts of the huts will approach you. You can ask nicely and politely for a Kaiserschmarren to the two real Tyrolean hosts, Susi and Hanni. You will not be disappointed. If you still have enough lard in your calves, try the new bike trail over the Rendl into the Moostal. Do not forget your bike helmet!

BIG#4 Ebike tour to an alp or hut

It sounds simple, but nevertheless it is 13 km of asphalt and forest road to the Konstanzerhütte. After a little refreshment you can choose whether you want to turn left into the Fasultal or right into Schönverwall to the Heilbronnerhütte. A full day tour of about 90 km would be the round trip back over the Paznaun valley. On the photo we would like to see the landmark of St. Anton, the 3000 meter high Pattriol…

Big#5 Trip to the Valluga

The highest vantage point of the Arlberg Ski Arena fascinates with a 360-degree panoramic view as far as Lake Constance and Switzerland. The border between Tyrol and Vorarlberg and watershed of the Danube and Rhine. Be free from giddiness with the Vallugabahn 1 with up to 240 meters above the Steissbachtal and be nostalgic with the “milk cans” – that’s what we affectionately call the Vallugabahn II, so you know why ;). On the Galzig you should walk away from the Mutspuren.
