What room categories do you offer?
We distinguish between two buildings:
🏨 In the **Hotel Die Arlbergerin** (from 10 years):
– Classic Tyrolean rooms in the main building: Classic & Comfort double rooms
– Modern design rooms in the new building: Panorama, Zirbe, Tanne, Superior (all with balcony)
🏡 At the **Pension Der Steinbock**: rustic, traditional rooms with Tyrolean charm
– Comfort room (with private bathroom)
– Traditional room (with shower on the floor)
🏠 If the entire house is booked exclusively, we speak of the **Holiday home Steinbock** – perfect for 20-30 people.
Do all rooms have a balcony?
In the **Hotel Die Arlbergerin** all design rooms have a balcony with a mountain view. In the main building there are two rooms without a balcony (economy and one of the comfort rooms). In the **Pension Der Steinbock** many, but not all rooms have a balcony.
Do all rooms have a mountain view?
Yes, our house is located in the middle of the St. Anton mountains – no matter which direction you look, you will enjoy mountain views.
How do the rooms differ in style?
🏨 In the **hotel**: Main building – traditional, with carpeted floor. New building – modern, flooded with light, with oak flooring.
🏡 In the **Pension**: rustic, rustic, lovingly preserved – each room is individually designed.
How big are the rooms?
Most of the rooms in the **hotel** are around 26 m². In the **Pension** the rooms are slightly smaller – between 18 and 22 m², charming and compact.
Is there a minibar?
No, there is no minibar – instead we cordially invite you to our cozy **hotel bar and terrace**!
Is there a safe in the room?
Yes – **all rooms in the hotel and guesthouse** have their own room safe.
Is there a desk?
Yes, you will find a small desk or a practical work surface in every room.
Is there a coffee or tea station in the room?
☕ **In the hotel**: A tea station with kettle is available in every room.
In the **Pension**: A kettle is available for free use in the bar area.
Early riser? Early bird coffee is available in the breakfast room from 7:00 am.
Are there smart TVs?
Yes – **all design rooms in the hotel** are equipped with a Smart TV. You can log in with your own streaming services (e.g. Netflix).
Are the rooms barrier-free?
All rooms are **accessible by elevator**, but **not wheelchair accessible**. Please let us know in advance if you have any special requirements – we will be happy to help.
Are there allergy-friendly rooms?
Yes, please indicate when booking if you do not want down bedding. The design rooms have **wooden floors** – ideal for allergy sufferers.
Are there separate beds?
In our **design rooms** a **separation of beds is possible on request**. In the main building only in 2 classic rooms. Please inquire at least 1-2 days before arrival.
From what age are children allowed in the hotel?
**In the hotel** we accept guests aged 10 and over**. For families we recommend the Pension Der Steinbock – here we welcome guests **of all ages**.
Which room is particularly quiet?
We recommend our **North rooms** – for example the **Pine room or the Economy room in the main building**. Our house is generally very quiet, but north-facing rooms are particularly quiet.
Are there rooms with separate bedrooms?
Only one room category in the hotel has separate sleeping areas: the **Tirol Suite**. Ideal for 2 people in the bedroom + 2 people in the living area (1 bathroom). This is not possible in the guesthouse.
Are there triple rooms?
**Yes**, in the hotel in the **Comfort, Superior and Tanne** categories – with an extra bed. In the guesthouse e.g. in the **Mountain Fire** room or in the Traditional room with an extra bed. Baby cribs are also available.
Are there rooms for romantic vacations for two?
Our **design rooms in the new building** have been specially designed for couples. Particularly romantic: the **Double room Panorama** with window reading corner, bed with mountain view and open bathroom.
How long are the beds?
🛏️ **Design room in the hotel**: Beds 210 cm long, blankets 220 cm
🛏️ **House in the hotel**: Beds 200 cm, blankets mostly 210 cm

What is the difference between Economy and Superior?
**Economy**: classic room in the main building, without balcony, simple bathroom with shower

Do you have extra-long beds or blankets?
🛏️ In our **design rooms in the hotel** the beds are 210 cm long and the comforters 220 cm.
In the **Stammhaus**: Beds 200 cm, blankets mostly 210 cm.
In the **Pension**: all beds 200 cm, with 210 cm blankets.
What is the difference between Economy and Superior rooms?
**Economy**: classic room in the main building without balcony, with shower.
**Superior**: modern design room in the new building with balcony, oak wood floor, panoramic shower & open bathroom.
What distinguishes a hotel from a guesthouse?
**Hotel Die Arlbergerin** (4 stars): Elevator, sauna, hotel bar, bistro, large breakfast buffet, modern & comfortable.
**Pension Der Steinbock**: Bed and breakfast without sauna, no elevator, traditional rooms, familiar character.
Does the guesthouse have rooms with wooden floors?
Yes – the **Comfort double room** in the guesthouse has a wooden floor.
The other rooms are carpeted.
Do you have rooms with separate WC and bathroom?
**Hotel:** Comfort rooms in the main building have a separate WC. In panorama rooms the WC is in the open bathroom with glass partition. All other rooms: WC integrated in the bathroom.
**Pension:** All rooms with integrated bath & WC.
Can we reserve a specific room?
We are happy to reserve a specific room for our regular guests. New guests can make requests – we can only guarantee the room number shortly before arrival.
Is there daily room cleaning?
Yes – daily cleaning is included in all houses.
Exception: When booking the **Green Rate** (room cleaning only every 3 days, but cheaper).
Is a late check-out possible?
Yes – **on request and subject to availability**. Late check-out until 14:00 costs € 40.
Regular check-out: hotel until 11:00, guesthouse until 10:00.
Is there a way to wash or dry them?

Are there blackout curtains?

Can skis or bicycles be stored in the room?
No – there are separate **ski & bike cellars** (lockable and secure).

No – only normal sockets. Adapters are available at reception (subject to availability).
Is there free WLAN?
Yes – fast WLAN is included in **all buildings** (hotel, guesthouse, vacation home).
Is there an ironing board?
Yes – we are happy to provide an ironing board and iron on request.
Is the bed made every day?
Yes – unless you book our **Green Rate** (cleaning every 3 days).
How often are towels changed?
Daily on request – simply lay the used towels on the floor of the shower.
Are there rooms with a bathtub?
In the hotel: 1 comfort room & 1 Tirol Suite with bathtub.
In the guesthouse: 2 comfort rooms with bathtub. All other rooms: shower.
Do the rooms have smoke detectors?
Yes – all rooms are equipped with smoke detectors. Our house is a non-smoking establishment.
Do the double beds have separate mattresses?
Yes – all rooms are equipped with smoke detectors. Our hotel is a non-smoking establishment.
Is there a sitting area or sofa in the room?
Yes – every room has a seating area. Larger rooms also have a sofa or reading area.
Is there seating on the balcony?
Yes – in **all hotel rooms with balcony** you will find comfortable seating. In the guesthouse: simple wooden benches or chairs.
Is there a fridge in the room?
No – we do not provide a refrigerator. Refrigeration for medication is available at reception.
Are there connecting doors for family rooms?
No – no connecting doors. In the hotel we recommend the Tirol Suite or adjoining rooms. For larger groups: the Steinbock vacation home.
Can I make my own tea in my room?
**Hotel**: Yes, there is a tea station with a kettle in every room. **Guesthouse**: Kettles are available for free use in the bar (not served).
Can I take my bicycle or baby carriage into my room?
**Bicycles**: please only in the bicycle cellar (not in the room/balcony).
**Prams**: can be parked in the Steinbock in the room or in the ski cellar.
Is there a telephone in the room?

Do you have rooms for large families?

🏨 Our hotel is situated in a quiet, sunny location in St. Anton am Arlberg – away from the hustle and bustle and yet centrally located. Only 700 m from the Nassereinbahn. You can reach the center in about 15-20 minutes on foot or with the free local bus (bus stop directly in front of the house).
Where is the Pension Der Steinbock?
🏡 Our charming Tyrolean guesthouse is located right next to the Hotel Die Arlbergerinon the same property. Both houses share a parking lot and care team. Rafalt” bus stop right outside the doorideal for summer and winter guests.

What is the difference between a hotel and a guesthouse?

How difficult is the trail?
→ Medium to difficult – good physical condition & surefootedness required.
Since 2025, you can choose between three difficulty levels:
🔵 Blue = light
🟡 Gold = Standard
⚫ Black = sporty & high alpine
Do I need a guide?
→ Not mandatory. The route is well signposted & equipped with GPS.
For those who prefer guided hikes: ASI also offers groups with a guide.
How do I get back to St. Anton?
→ The last stage ends at the Valluga cable car – from where you can hike down into the valley and take the free local bus back to the Arlberg.
Are there bus connections between the towns?
→ Yes, the bus route 760 connects St. Anton – St. Christoph – Zürs – Lech.

Are there food & huts along the way?
→ Yes – everywhere along the route:
– Kaltenberghütte
– Stuttgarter hut
– Rud-Alpe in Lech
– Gampen Alm and much more. – always with regional cuisine and views.
What belongs in my daypack?
→ Water, snacks, rain protection, sunscreen, first aid kit, blister plasters, cell phone, map or app – the rest is covered by the luggage transport.
What accommodation do you use on the trail?
→ We recommend:
– The Arlberg woman in St. Anton
– House Flexen in Stuben
– Hotel Roggal in Lech
💡 Our tip: It’s best to book an extra night at the Arlbergerinso that you don’t get into the car tired – but end the day relaxed.
Is the trail also suitable for children or older guests?
→ Yes – from approx. 10 years with basic fitness or for fit seniors. Thanks to cable cars, stages can be individually adapted.
What happens in bad weather?
→ ASI offers rebookings, alternative routes or stage splitting.
Many accommodations are flexible – and you can also take a rain break 😉
